Denny Lane Hunter, 71 of Sanford, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
He was born in Lee County on September 4, 1948, son of the late William Royce and Jessie Copeland Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Scotty Hunter and Christy Hunter; siblings, Barney Hunter, Gaye Hunter Watson, Joey Hunter, Johnny Hunter, Randy Hunter and Donna Hunter. Denny was a Veteran of the United States Army, and worked as a carpenter.
Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Brenda Pleasants Hunter of the home; daughters, Amy Hunter Carter of Sanford and Jessie Hunter Stewart of Estero, Florida; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
