Callie Saunders Meadows, 69, of Sanford, passed away Friday (07-27-2018) at Central Carolina Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, (08-01-2018) at Lee’s Chapel Christian Church with Rev. Bruce Parsons, officiating. Burial followed in the Moncure United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Callie was born in Lee County on July 17, 1949, daughter of Jerry M. and Kathleen Burke Saunders.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Meadows, sisters, Martha Vinson, Christine Thomas, Mary Wilson, brothers, Gene Saunders, Henry Saunders, William Saunders, James Saunders, and Jerry Saunders.
She is survived by
daughters, Tammy S. East and Angel M. Proctor, both of Sanford; sister, Lola S. Honaker of Sanford; brothers, Charlie “ Buddy” Saunders, Joseph “Joe” Saunders, all of Florida; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the Lee’s Chapel Christian Church.
