Betty Phillips Wicker, 84, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Westfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service was held Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 2 p.m. at White Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Chaplain Joel Cameron officiating.
She was born in Moore County on November 15, 1936, to the late H.L. and Alethea Moore Phillips. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Kenneth Wicker, son Phillip Wicker; siblings Dick Phillips, Bill Phillips and Dorothy “Dot” Gladden. She was a member of White Hill Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Wicker of Sanford; siblings, Helen Comer of Georgia, Mary Lou Jeffers of Sanford, Herman Phillips of Carthage, Bruce Phillips of Cameron; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
