Santa has some new wheels

While the winds were a little breezy at times Saturday, Santa didn't mind having his beard blown around. It was all for a good cause. The Siler City Fire Department spread some Christmas cheer, heading through residential neighborhoods, to greet some wide-eyed children, and adults , too. Santa, safely secured with safety harnesses for the ride, waved and belted out his Ho, Ho, Ho's as kids grinned from ear to ear. It was a short trip though! After all, Christmas Eve is almost here, and Sant's has to get back to the North Pole!

Lily Sorenson gets a head start on Christmas, which will be here Tuesday. Lily was cuddled up with her Christmas Bear, dreaming of sugar plums, candy canes and of course, Santa Claus. Of course, Lily knows the real reason for Christmas though, as Baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem on December 25.
