Robert Nelson Wall, 80, of Chapel Hill, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at his residence.
Private graveside services were held Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Pleasant Cross Christian Church Cemetery, Asheboro, with Rev. Jeff Maness officiating.
Nelson was born in Guilford County, the 12th of 13 children but he spent his formative years in Bonlee. After living several years in Greensboro and back to Bonlee, he made his final home with Janice in northern Chatham County and Chapel Hill. It was there that he developed several residential communities. Nelson enjoyed all things related to improving land. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Robert and Esther Flippin Wall.
Survivors, his wife of 50 years, Janice Cross Wall of the home; daughters, Sherri Wall of Raleigh, Crystal Wall Gettys and husband Darrell of Asheboro, Debbie Wall Cooper and husband Randy of Pittsboro; sons, Jeffrey Nelson Wall, David Wall, Richard Wall, Darrell Wall, all of Chapel Hill; sister, Carol Walker and husband Joe of Lenoir; grandchildren, Blair Lindley Lambert and husband Ryan of Angier, Nicole Wall, Lisa Wall, Anna Wall, Christopher Wall, Tyler Wall, and Kyle Wall, all of Chapel Hill, great-grandchildren, Nathan Creel, Jayden Creel, both of Chapel Hill, Laine Lambert of Angier; numerous nieces and nephews.
