The Chatham County Partnership for Children raised $12,000 from the Reindeer Run 5K in December, and now the partnership is looking to distribute the money as grant funding.

The partnership is now taking applications from schools, churches, organizations and businesses in Chatham County for the Physical Activity Grant, which is intended for buying supplies, building things or implementing programs to promote physical activity to kids and families.

The application can be found on the Chatham County Partnership for Children’s website. Applications are due on June 14.

Each year, the partnership aims to choose multiple projects to fund. Those projects include walking paths, playgrounds and the purchase of sporting equipment.
