Gloria Shields Lovette, 83, of Bear Creek died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Laurels Of Chatham, Pittsboro.
Mrs. Lovette was born in Moore County on April 1, 1936, the daughter of Roy and Bertha (Willard) Shields. Gloria was retired from Hadley Peoples Manufacturing and a member of the Siler City Church of God. She loved her church and attended services as long as her health allowed. Gloria enjoyed visiting in the neighborhood and spending time with her grandsons.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Chriscoe; sisters, Shelby Causey, Lena Shields, Ruth Hicks; and brother, Buck Shields.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey Thomas Lovette of Johnson City, Tennessee; sons, Billy Chriscoe of Troy, Ricky Chriscoe of Bear Creek; two grandsons, and two step-grandsons.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City. The funeral will follow Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Kight officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
