Gladys Miller Stout, 99, of Ramseur, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at her home. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Ramseur with Rev. Wayne Dunn officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Knoll Cemetery in Ramseur. Gladys was a native of Davidson County and a graduate of Asheboro High School. She retired from Acme McCrary and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Stout; son, David Charles Stout; parents Pearlie and Fallie Hedrick Miller; sisters, Aileen Fox, Virginia Parrish, Mary Shoemaker, Betty Sue Luquire; and brother, Herman Miller. Survivors include sons, Bill Stout and Claudia Tutterow of Greensboro, Rick Stout and wife Pam of Asheboro; daughter, Diane Stout Smith and husband Joe of Bear Creek; daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Savage and husband Tommy of Emerald Isle; six grandchildren, Ken Smith and wife Dawn of Bear Creek, Kevin Smith and wife Carrie of Bonlee, Dana Stout Descent and husband Hank of Siler City, Kristy Stout Phillips and husband Burl of Siler City, Tyler Stout and wife Keisha of Randleman, Caleb Stout and wife Caitlyn of Seagrove; eight great-grandchildren, Brooke Smith Green (David), Kenley Smith Barker (Garrett), Marshall Phillips, Miller Phillips, Mason Phillips, Dylan Smith, Reagan Smith, Emilee Kate Stout and four great-great-grandchildren, Raylin Green, Ryker Green, Rori Green, and Reed Barker.
