Mrs. Brenda Lee Bates Gaines, 55, of Bear Creek, died Thursday, (06-28-2018) at her home.
No funeral service will be held. Preacher Johnny Lewis offered words of comfort to family and friends near the conclusion of the visitation.
Brenda was born in Muskingum County, Ohio in 1962, daughter of Fred Bates and Dixie Ginter Dean. She worked most of her life in retail sales. She was preceded in death by her son Travis Thorla and daughter Jessica Myers as well as one sister, Amber Bates, grandparents Ruth “Neenie” and Meade Ginter.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, David Holt of the home; step-children, Devin Bean of Sanford; June Blanks of South Boston, VA, David Holt of Sanford; brother, Dusty Dean of Zanesville, OH; and six grandchildren.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
