Billy Craig Carter, 47, of Sanford, died Thursday (07-05-2018) at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice Home in Pittsboro.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lemon Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Foley officiating. Burial followed in the Lemon Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was born in Lee County, son of Billy Joe and Edna Earle Sloan Carter.
Surviving are his parents Billy Joe and Edna Earle Carter of Sanford, wife, Stephanie Solis Carter of the home; son, Richard Craig “CJ” Carter of Sanford; daughters, JoHanna Grace Carter of Texas, Brittnay Nicole Oldham of Carthage; sisters, Pamela Joan Carter Mason of Sanford, Penny Elaine Carter of Sanford.
The family received friends on Wednesday from 12:30 to 2 p.m at the Church, prior to the funeral services.
