Annabel Teague Powers, 100, of Silk Hope Road, Siler City died Sunday, November 4, 2018.
Mrs. Powers was born in Chatham County on February 1, 1918 the daughter of Henry Adney and Elizabeth Lena (Siler) Teague. Annabel was a 1939 graduate of Women’s College (UNC-G) and married B. Paul Powers on July 7, 1945. She was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church. She was employed as a County Extension Agent for over 25 years.
Annabel was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Albon, Herman, Bob, Zach, R. P. and David Teague; and sister, Mary Frances Smith.
She is survived by daughter, Elaine Powers Partin and husband Ben of Trinity; son, Wayne Paul Powers of Siler City; grandchildren, Melissa (Jimmy), Anna Ruth (Chad), John (Melissa), Jennifer, Tim (Danyce), Brandi (Eric) and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a special heartfelt thank you to caregiver, Karen Perez, who has been with Annabel for a year and to the other caregivers for their care over the last two months.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Loves Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral will follow Thursday at 1:00 PM at Loves Creek Baptist Church, 1745 East 11th Street, Siler City with Rev. Kenny Black officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
