Alice Marie Poe Vickrey, 87, of Pittsboro passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at her residence.
Alice worked as a sales clerk in retail stores for many years and was better known as “Little Alice” and for her great smile.
A graveside service was conducted on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Liberty, NC with Pastor Jason Dickerson officiating.
Alice was the daughter of the late John Clarence and Maude Martisha Langley Poe.She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jimmy Harrell Vickrey; sisters, Ruth Covington, Louise Poe and Virginia James.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Vickrey and wife Helen, Randy Vickrey; grandson, J. J. Vickrey and wife Amanda; great granddaughter, Addisyn Vickrey; great grandsons, Landon Vickrey and Cole Vickrey; brother, Bill Poe and wife Mary Ruth Poe; along with many nieces and nephews.
