William Dalrymple Harrington Jr., 92, of Broadway, died Tuesday (07-03-2018) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
Funeral services were held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial with military honors followed in the church cemetery.
He was born on July 27, 1925, son of the late William Dalrymple and Florence H. Harrington. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lou H. McCormick, Lena H. Pritchett, Neal Harrington, Annie H. Cameron and Joanna H. McCullough; his wife Mildred McLeod Harrington.
Bill was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a World War II Veteran, was the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
Surviving are his sons, Billy Harrington of Broadway, Barry Harrington of Garner, and Jimmy Harrington of Broadway; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are made to the Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 1302 Broadway, NC 27505.
