In the early morning hours of Nov. 3, 2022, members of the Liberty Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle operated by Brandon Antonio Lindsey, 36, of 686 Woodland Circle, Asheboro. During the course of the traffic stop, it was determined that Lindsey was also driving while impaired and that the vehicle was reported stolen from Staley Snow Camp Rd., Siler City, in Chatham County.

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office subsequently charged Lindsey, the sole occupant and operator of the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop, with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony larceny of a motor vehicle. A warrant for Lindsey’s arrest was issued and members of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office served Lindsey at his residence in Asheboro.

Lindsey was assigned a $15,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on Jan. 30.
