Siler City Man Linked to Vehicle Larceny

SILER CITY — In Oct. 2022, the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office received a report of breaking and entering, larceny and larceny of a motor vehicle from the area of Devil's Tramping Ground Road, Bear Creek. Multiple buildings and vehicles were reportedly affected and valuables were taken by an unknown suspect. 

The stolen vehicle was located the following day in the area of Airport Road, Bear Creek, and evidence contained within led deputies to Aaron Steven Coble, 22, of 17297 Hwy. 64 West, Siler City. Following a thorough investigation, Coble was charged with a string of felonies, including three counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony breaking/entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

He was also charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny and a single count of injury to personal property. 

Coble was assigned a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on Jan. 30.
