Ruby Lee Carroll Cotten, 91, of New Hill, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020, at the Oakes at Whitaker Glen-Mayview in Raleigh.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the Buckhorn U.M.C. Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick Jones officiating.
Ruby was born in Lee County on September 2, 1928, the daughter of Bruce Clyde and Emma Champion Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Cotten, daughter, Vickey Cotten Wilson; and sisters, Frances Duke, Dorothy Underwood, Eloise Baker, Odell Jarmon and JoAnn Bowling. Ruby was a member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church and The United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her son, Billy Cotten II of New Hill; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
