Reginald Melvin Womble, 79, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was born on March 14, 1942, to the late Ervin and Lillie Womble. He was a 1964 graduate of N.C. A&T State University, where he earned a B.S. in Mathematics. He was married to the late Mildred R. Womble.
Reggie was a dedicated employee of Burlington Industries (Asheboro, Statesville and Greensboro). He retired after 35 years of service. He is survived by his only child, Regina Womble-Miller (Hubert), one brother, three sisters and two brothers-in-law.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center, 950 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Asheboro, N.C. The family hour and funeral will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Corinth AME Zion Church in Siler City, N.C. The family hour will begin at 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be at the Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City, N.C.
