Peggy Jean Womack Gaines, 65, of Carthage, died Monday, (10-15-2018) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, (10-17-2018) at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Goldston, with Rev. Keith Miller officiating.
She was born in Harnett County on February 8, 1953 to Dorothy Caldwell Mason and the late Gilbert Clyde Womack. In addition to her father, Peggy was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Womack and two grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Hubert Gaines of Pinehurst; mother, Dorothy Mason of Broadway; daughters, Erica Ammons of Fernley, NV and Cindy Burton of Moncure; step-daughters, Renee Binkley, Michelle Bolton, Deanna Zagada; brothers, William Womack of Broadway, Thomas Womack of Broadway; sister, Nancy Rochelle of Broadway; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
