We celebrate the life of Patty Keatley Huston, who joined her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2020 at 12:20 p.m. She was the tenth child of Julius Earl and Amanda Cleo Young Keatley, born in Summers County, West Virginia on September 1, 1934.

Patty graduated from Talcott High School in 1952 and then the Charleston School of Commerce in Charleston, West Virginia. She was married to her sweetheart, John R. Huston, Jr. for nearly 66 years and was mother to two sons and a daughter. She loved playing the piano, cooking, home making and worked as a secretary and office manager for a global utility company.

Patty is preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, John; her sons, John K. Huston, his wife, Mame Huston of Charlotte, NC and Kevin D. Huston, his wife, Angie C. Huston of Apex, NC; her daughter, Martha H. Collins and husband, James W. Collins, II, of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Patty was a wonderful mother, prayer warrior, encourager, teacher and an amazing example of strength, as she battled a debilitating disease for 36 years.

We praise the Lord that she is at peace, dancing through the gates of Heaven today!
