Mrs. Jean Faye Williams Gore, 80, passed away Saturday morning, November 23, 2019 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation in Sanford, NC.

Born in Bynum, Mrs. Gore was a daughter of the late Ada Brassington and Everette Williams. Jean had a love for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed fishing, even when nothing was biting; taking trips up to Cherokee or visiting Carolina Beach with her family. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe, her son Brad and her sister, Doris.

She is survived by her son, Ray Gore; two daughters, Dena (Mike) Graham and Sheri Cheek, all of Pittsboro; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The service to honor the life and memory of Mrs. Jean Gore was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Mays Chapel Baptist Church, 24 Rosser Rd., Bear Creek, NC  27207. Rev. Val Chadwick and Rev. Ray Gooch officiated the service. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received guests and friends in the fellowship hall after the committal.

Donaldson Funeral Home & Cremation is honored to serve the Gore family.
