Madge Marie Hancock Coggins, 83, of Sanford, passed away on Monday, (12-31-2018) at her home.
The funeral service was held Thursday (01-03-2019) at 4 p.m. at Grace Chapel Church with Rev. Joel Murr and Rev. Bob Yandle officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She was born on April 23, 1935 to the late Lloyd Dillard and Opal Choplin Hancock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John William “Buster” Coggins; brother, James Lloyd Hancock; sister, Opal Nell Hanshaw and half-brother, Don Hancock. She worked on the family farm and operated an in-home day care.
Madge is survived by her son, John W. Coggins, Jr. of Oregon; daughters, Karen McNeill, Tammy Johnson, Angela Cole, and Pamela Blalock, all of Sanford; sister, Shirley Lamm of Sanford; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
