Lawrence Sherwood Armstrong, age 90, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Monday, (09-17-2018) at his home.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, (09-22-
2018) at 1 p.m. at Chatham Memorial Park with Pastor David Sherrod officiating.
He was born in Norwich, CT on July 31, 1928 to the late Walter and Anna Emily Luppert Armstrong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Lawrence was a retired civil service employee and a Korean War Veteran in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Lillian Messier Armstrong; daughters, Barbara Duggan of Pittsboro, Nancy Avery of Connecticut, Laurie Armstrong of Sanford and Doris Lucas of Florida; sister, Marilyn Armstrong of CT; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
