John William “Buster” Coggins, 86, of Sanford, died Friday, (07-27-2018)at his home.
The funeral service was held on Monday, (07-30-2018) at 4 p.m. at Grace Chapel Church with Rev. Joel Murr and Rev. Bob Yandle officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Buster was born January 3, 1932 to the late Wilbur and Beatrice Gaines Coggin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Coy Coggin. After proudly serving his country in the Air Force, Buster enjoyed a long career in farming.
Survivors include his wife, Madge Hancock Coggins; son, John W. Coggins, Jr. of Oregon; daughters, Karen McNeill, Tammy Johnson, Angela Cole, Pamela Blalock; brothers, Jimmie Coggin, Thomas Coggin; sisters, Jewell Stone, Sylvia Adcock and Mollie Slate, all of Sanford; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
