John “Jack” Tredinnnick, 83, of Pittsboro, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
Jack was a veteran, a Mason and a dedicated educator, spending his entire career in the service of public schools. He rose from the ranks of a physical education instructor and basketball coach to superintendent of schools. The entirety of his career was spent in Pennsylvania and New Jersey schools. He retired to North Carolina in 1995.
He is survived by his wife Dody of 63 years; daughter, Deb Hepp of Eli Whitney, NC; son, Dave of Houston, TX; son, Jerry of Ramseur, NC; and grandsons, Rory Tredinnick, Ryan Tredinnick, Zach Hepp; and his older brother Tom of Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be held at University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill on Saturday, June 23, 2018. A visitation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill or the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford.
