Mr. John Elbert Inman, 78, of Bear Creek passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his home.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Neal Jackson and Dr. Curtis Barbery presiding. Burial followed in the church cemetery with full Military Honors provided by The Randolph County Honor Guard.

John was born in Moore County in 1941, son of the late Elbert and Mary Ruby Lawhorn Inman. He served his country in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, D Co., 504 Parachute Infantry. He became a truck driver, working for various companies and retiring from Wilson Brother’s Trucking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Wanda Faye Wright and one brother, Bobby Ray Inman.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jackie Bryant Inman of the home; daughters, Cheryl Elaine Smith of Goldston and Jackie Michele Inman of Bennett; sister, Judy Anderson of Bennett; brothers, Paul Inman of Bonlee, Lee Inman of Sanford; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
