Jean Kelly Fore, 94, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Parkview Retirement Center.
A private graveside service will be held with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date.
She was born in Lee County on August 1, 1926, to the late James Alton and Annie Bogan Kelly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Truman Fore, Sr. and ten siblings. Jean was a charter member of Hunt Springs Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school.
Jean is survived by children, Brenda F. Turnipseed of Cary, Dr. Lavonne Kelly Fore of Charleston, S.C., George T. Fore, Jr. of Raleigh, John B. Fore of Travelers Rest, S.C. and Ann F. Howell of Sanford; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
