Janette Winsor (Bristow) Ashley, 84, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro.
The funeral service was held Sunday at 3 p.m. September 29, 2019 at Hope Assembly of God with Pastor Greg Davenport officiating. Burial followed in Lee Memory Gardens.
She was born in Bladen County on August 5, 1935 to the late Bascum Mack Bristow and Ruth Swain McRae. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dee Ashley and a brother, John Harold Tyson. Janette worked for many years as a private duty nurse.
Survivors include her sons, Ricky Dale Ashley, Kenneth Lynn Ashley and Mitchell Dean Ashley, all of Sanford; two brothers, Larry Bristow of Siler City and Tommy Tyson of High Falls; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
