James Franklin Putnam, 81, of Cameron, passed away on Wednesday, (09-19-2018) at his home.
The funeral service was held on Friday, (09-21-2018( at 4 p.m. at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wayne O’Quinn officiating. Burial followed in Hillmon Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was born in Moulton, AL on February 27, 1937 to the late Robert Elzie and Dorothy Hill Putnam. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a son, James Franklin Putnam; brother, Eugene Putnam and sister, Ann Leach. He was retired from the US Army.
James is survived by his wife, Linda Gail Monroe Putnam; son, Victor Putnam of Cameron; daughter, Brenda Gail Moring, Troy of Cameron; brother, Clifford Putnam of Priceville, AL; sisters, Marie Panella of Huntsville, AL, Dorothy Montgomery of Decatur, AL and Barbara Brown of Decatur, AL; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren,
and one great-great-grandchild.
