Homer Sheral Mitchell, 81 of New Hill passed away on Saturday, (10-06-2018).
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, (10-09-2018) at Truth Missionary Baptist Church with the Pastor, Ronald E. Humphries and the Pastor Terry Byrd officiating. Burial followed in the New Elam Christian Church Cemetery.
He was born in Chatham County on March 2, 1937, son of Earlie Mitchell and Arizona Stone Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pauline Ann Hinsley Mitchell; sister, Gennie Mae Pierce, brothers, Benson L. Mitchell, Caley Mitchell, and Laddie Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a deacon and a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughters, Donna M. Saunders of Moncure, Deborah M. Dickerson of New Hill; sons, Danny S Mitchell and Daryl W. Mitchell, all of New Hill; brother, Earlie W. Mitchell of New Hill; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
