Helen Cleo Luxton Williams, 88, of Sanford, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Westfield Health and Rehabilitation.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Thursday, January 2, 2020 with Rev. Danny Redman officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Chatham County on January 27, 1931 to the late John Virgil Luxton and Fannie Smith Luxton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Williams; brothers and sisters, Coy Luxton, Maggie Luxton Ellis, Lillian Luxton Moore, Fred Luxton, Viola Luxton Kelly, Huey Luxton, Barbara Luxton Potter, Corinna Luxton Wicker, J.V. Luxton, Jr., Louis Luxton, Curtis Luxton, Jessie Luxton, twin brother, Hayden Luxton and Gracie Luxton McLeod. Helen was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed her involvement with Meals on Wheels.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Jan Williams of Durham.
