Fred Allen Johnson, 77, of Lillington, passed away on Sunday, (11-04-2018).
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, (11-07-2018) at 2 p.m. at Union United Methodist Church with Dr. Roderic L. Mullen officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
He was born in Harnett County on November 24, 1940 to the late Kelly B. and Emily Edith Betts Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Marie Johnson. He served our country in the US Army. Fred retired from GKN as a machinist and also spent many years farming.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Brown Johnson; daughter, Kelly Johnson Matthews of Lillington; sons, Jeremy Allen Johnson of Fuquay-Varina, Reece Brown Johnson of Wilmington; sisters, Lenda Taylor of Spring Lake and Patsy Bolton of Lillington; brother, Leon Johnson of Fuquay-Varina; and nine grandchildren.
