Eileen Pendergrass Cotten, 72, of Moncure passed away Saturday, (09-01-2018) at her home.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m.. on Wednesday (09-05-2018) at the Moncure United
Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Woods and the Rev. Houston Blair, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cotten was born in Lee County on August 2, 1946, daughter of Worthy William and Esther Womble Pendergrass. She retired from the banking industry and taught piano lessons to children in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandson, Jacob Cotten.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela C. Partin of New Hill; sons, H. Wayne Cotten, Jr. and W. David Cotten, all of Moncure; sisters, Beverly Lloyd of Cary, Frances Sam of Oxford, MS; five grandchildren, and one
great-grandson.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday 09-05-2018) at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Moncure U.M.C., c/o Angela C. Partin, 287 Partin Road, New Hill, NC 27562.
