Clinnie Malcolm Laws, 98, of Lemon Springs, passed away on Friday, (08-31-2018) at his home.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, (09-04-2018) at 3 p.m. with Rev. Kent Miller and Rev. Darrell Harris officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Laws was born in Orange County, on October 11, 1919 to the late Kinnie and Hattie Crabtree Laws.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Batchelor; brothers Cobby Laws, Wayne Laws and sisters, Pauline Stevens and Pat O’Quinn; and one granddaughter. He retired from Continental Insurance Company as an insurance agent.  He was also a farmer-merchant in Lemon Springs for many years.  Mr. Laws was a member of Lemon Springs United Methodist Church and a graduate of Greenwood High School.  Mr. Laws served our country in the United States Navy during World War II and was the last surviving Pearl Harbor survivor in our area.
He is survived by sons, Clinnie Malcolm Laws, Jr., “Mike” of Lemon Springs, Dennie Rodney Laws of Swann Station and Kennie Scott Laws of Lemon Springs; daughters, Judy L. Deal of Lemon Springs, Jean L. Sellers of Laurinburg and Patsy L. Richardson of Lemon Springs; sister, Lillie Layton of Swann Station; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
