Chapel Hill girls power past Northwood

PITTSBORO — Chapel Hill proved too strong for Northwood on Thursday night as the visiting Tigers powered past the Chargers 15-3 in 3A Big Eight Conference girls lacrosse action.

Northwood fell to 0-5 in league play and to 0-10 overall with the loss while Chapel Hill improved to 6-1 in the Big Eight and to 7-4 overall.

Kendall Laberge scored twice for the Lady Chargers in the loss while Julia Earnshaw chipped in a goal.

Laberge added five ground balls and an interception in the field for the locals while Jenna Konowitz added two interceptions and five ground balls, Julia Cohen four ground balls, and Kennedy Cox three ground balls and an interception.
