The West Chatham NAACP held its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration breakfast Saturday at the Holy Trinity Church in Siler City. The keynote speaker was Dr. Ronda Taylor Bullock, a Chatham Central graduation and the co-founder and director of We Are. We Are stands for working to extend anti-racist education. The non-profit uses summer camps for children, workshops for parents, and professional development for educators to provide the knowledge and skills needed to understand the complexity of racism.
