Carlton Bryant Holt, age 85, of Sanford, passed away on Friday, (12-28-2018), at Duke University Medical Center.
The funeral was held Monday, (12-31-2018), at 2 p.m. at Shallow Well Church with Rev. Donald Thompson and Rev. Marty Johnston presiding. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Holt was born in Lee County, on May 21, 1933, to the late Challie Bryant Holt and Molinda Buchanan Holt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings James Ralph Holt, Robert Hartness Holt, and Geneva Emily LaMora. He worked for Pentair Pool Products prior to retirement and served his country in the US Army in Korea. Bryant was a life-long member of Shallow Well Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Polly Ann Cox Holt of the home; daughters, Phyllis Dee Holt Phillips of Sanford, Scarlett Renee Holt Vick of Sanford; sister, Molinda Frances Nobles of Charlotte; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
