BRUCE SEXTON JONES

Bruce Sexton Jones, 82, of Moncure, died Friday (06-01-2018) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
Graveside services with Masonic Rites were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the New Elam Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Jack Phillips officiating.
He was born in Chatham County, son of the late Noie Sexton Jones and Una Williams Jones.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Zola Morton and his daughter Terry Poythress.  He was retired from UNC Chapel Hill, was a member of New Elam Christian Church and was a member of Apex Masonic Lodge No. 584 AF&AM.
Surviving is his wife, Myrtle Phillips Jones of the home;  sons,  Ray Jones of Marston, Phillip Jones of Moncure;  four granddaughters and four great-grandsons.
