Betty Jean Poe Ritter, 73, of Robbins, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020, at her home.
A graveside service was held at Smyrna UMC at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020, with Rev. Kenneth Bouldin presiding. Betty was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on October 14, 1946, to Vun Erman Poe and Frances Irene Barnes Poe. She attended Riverside Baptist Church and had been employed with Black & Decker. In addition to her parents, her husband, James Lacy Ritter Sr. and a sister, Patricia preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Sonia Jean Ritter of the home; son, James Lacy Ritter, Jr. of Robbins; and a brother, Vun Erman Poe, Jr. of Asheboro.
