Betty “Boots” Morris Tucker, 85, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, (10-27-2018) at UNC Hospice Home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, (10-31-2018) at 1 p.m. at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Gregg Presnal officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She was born in Lee County on October 7, 1933, to the late Leon Ed Morris and Berma Wells Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Tucker; sister, Edna Rosser; brother, John Ed Morris, step-grandson, Shane Owens. Boots retired after a 47 year career at Whitin Roberts Company.
Surviving are her children, James Tucker, Kim Tucker, and Kathy Hyde, all of Sanford; sisters, Maxine McLeod of Broadway, Jackie Wilson of Sanford; four grandchildren,one step-grandchild, six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
