Barbara Harrison, 77, of Sanford, died Saturday, September 28, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 2 until 3 pm at Edgewood Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Jody McNeill officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Presbyterian Cemetery.
Barbara was born in Greensboro on January 4, 1942, to the late Ermo Cluris Pulliam and Mary Ethel Wilson Pulliam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bobby” Lee Harrison, daughter Deborah Harrison Morrison, and granddaughter, Kyndle Lea Harrison. Barbara worked for Wagner’s Jewelry Store, was a teacher’s assistant at Broadway Elementary and ran her own store, “Barbara’s Barn”, for a number of years. She was a long-time member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Nannie Monroe Sunday School Class, and both President and Secretary of the Women of the church, and sang in the church choir.
Surviving relatives include her children, Charles Harrison and Gary Harrison, both of Sanford; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings Frances Griffin and Sue Sumner of Douglas, GA.
