Seaforth wrestler Keira Rosenmarkle earns athlete of the week honors for the week of Nov. 25.
Rosenmarkle won first place at the Red Wolf Invitational for the 165-pound weight class with a mix of dominant performances and close finishes. After receiving a bye in the first round, Rosenmarkle pinned Cedar Ridge’s Melissa Avendano in 26 seconds, and in the second round, she pinned Bartlett Yancey’s Ta’Kyra Henderson in 30 seconds.
In the first place match, Rosenmarkle won a much closer bout with East Forsyth’s Taylor Williams by decision, 5-4. Rosenmarkle now has three consecutive first-place finishes at the Red Wolf Invitational.
