Ann Wetzel, 96, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020.
The funeral service was held Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Fr. Hector LaChapelle and Deacon Mark Westrick officiating. Burial followed in Lee Memory Gardens.
She was born on May 20,1923 in Apshawa, NJ. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years John Martin Wetzel, Sr. and her son John Wetzel, Jr.
Ann is survived by her children, Pat Coyle of Cary, Mary Lou Hall of Sanford and Steven Wetzel of Shallotte; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
