I have spent over 5 years in Chatham County's high schools in a non-teaching role. I was able to observe teachers and students daily. I saw teachers responding to student actions, not skin color. It was also anecdotally evident tha many student discipline problems were related to poor, or no parenting. Parents often arrived at the school as a result of being called due to a student's behavior acting worse than the child.
